School fundraising effort
Baking that's another thing. DD13 was baking and decorating cakes for her year 8 fundraising stall being held Monday as part of their humanities class. Class members came up with ideas to raise money and then presented different charities they thought were worthy. Part of the criteria was that it was to be a smaller charity that does not get much focus and is solely dependent on donations. The Red Kite Foundation won out in the end. Here is what DD13 made to sell for $2 each 40 cakes all up went to school.
Then as there was extra mix over minnis were made and DD21 decorated them and took them to her part time job for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
Just a bit more loving in the world.

Blueberry Muffins
DD13 has been baking again and i can say this new recipe is a keeper. It is a recipe of Donna Haye- Blueberry muffins ....oh yeah these are good really, try them. Oh yeah Eleanor said that she added a bit more milk than the recipe to make the mix the right consistency.
Ingredients
2½
cups (375g) self-raising (self-rising) flour, sifted
1
teaspoon baking powder
1
cup (220g) caster (superfine) sugar
½
cup (125ml) vegetable oil
1
egg
½
cup (125ml) milk
1
teaspoon vanilla extract
300g
fresh or frozen blueberries
granulated
sugar, for sprinkling
Method
1
Preheat oven
to 180°C (350°F). Place the flour, baking powder and sugar in a bowl. Place the
oil, egg, milk and vanilla in a separate bowl and whisk to combine. Pour the
liquid ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Add
the blueberries and mix to combine. Spoon mixture into a 12-hole ½-cup capacity
(125ml) muffin tin lined with paper patty cases. Sprinkle the tops with sugar
and bake for 30–35 minutes or until cooked when tested with a skewer. Remove
from tin and cool on a wire rack.
